Well, it’s here! Spring has finally arrived! What better way to ring in the spring season than participating in the Bloggers Best Spring Home Tour hosted by my friend Kelly from The Tattered Pew! Myself along with 29 talented bloggers will be sharing their spring homes with you this week. That’s six bloggers every day this week! There’s so much inspiration coming at ya! A Cheerful & Colorful Easy Cottage She Room
A couple of years ago, I turned one of our spare bedrooms into a “she room”. I couldn’t have a she shed, so I created a she room. You can check out how I did it in my post How to Create a She Shed in a Room.

Wallpaper is back in style and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve been a fan since Big Al and I bought our first home and that’s longer than I would like to admit!
Not long ago, while sitting in my pretty pink she room, I felt like something was missing in the space. I tried some different artwork and that didn’t do it. That’s when the light bulb went on!
Why not wallpaper part of the room! Spring is a great time for a change, right?

“Nothing ever seems impossible in spring, you know.” – L.M. Montgomery

There is a small nook area inbetween two closets that just seemed to look unfinished. Needing to jazz it up, wallpaper was the ideal solution.
I have loved toile ANYTHING almost as long as I have loved wallpaper. That being said, I decided to add the prettiest pink and cream toile wallpaper to that nook.
Well, Big Al added the wallpaper for me. I did help!
Faux flowers adorn the vase on my desk in the winter and real flowers in the summer. For spring I decided to add some pussy willows to the vase. The furry little branches always remind me of that the new season is here.

It wouldn’t be spring without a few bunnies laying around would it?

A New Easy Gallery Wall
The office in my home is something I rarely share. I recently made some changes and thought it would be fun to give you a glimpse. Like wallpaper, gallery walls are currently all the rage. I recently did a post on Beautiful Vintage Artwork & Easy Gallery Walls to give you some inspiration on how to create your own.
Even though the space I had to work with wasn’t very large, I thought it would be a creative challenge for me to add one to the office. Although small, I knew a gallery wall would also make a pretty statement.

The artwork was purchased on Etsy for under $12. This particular set came with fourteen prints to download. I chose the ones I wanted and had them printed at my local office supply store.

The Office
Our office area was created during the pandemic when everyone in our house was working from home.
I feel like everyone probably added a work from home space if they didn’t already have one!
Am I right?

The office area is a neutral space and I wanted to add some greenery to the space. Moss everything is very popular this spring and it is also, for the most part, inexpensive. I added some moss and wicker balls to my decorative dish.
The boxwood arrangement and faux pot were items I’ve had for a long time and added it to the desk.
The gorgeous snake plant on the floor, that was a new present to myself.

We bought a new, bigger desk and I moved My Chalk Painted Chair I refinished from another room to create this cozy workspace. I usually keep a decorative pillow in the chair, as you can see above. However, I wanted to show you the beautiful detail without the pillow.

A Cheerful & Colorful Easter Table
If you missed it, I recently shared How to Set an Easter Table with Bright Colors. Since it is part of my spring home, I thought I shared it with you as part of my tour!
If you’re a follower of mine, you know I am all about color. So, it will be no surprise that I used alot of bright colors on my Easter table setting! I thought instead of using the normal Easter pastels I would use some bright primary colors this year.
I always start with my centerpiece and work my way out. My recently purchased melamine platter was a must use!
Isn’t it so cheerful!?

Adding some neutral dishes, decoupaged eggs, new pillows, some other pops of color and of course a few moss bunnies, this cottage table was ready for Easter!

If you have never decorated a table for the holidays, I encourage you to try it this spring! I’m sure you have plenty of spring items in your home that would make a beautiful table!

Colorful Vignettes
For those who have never been to my cottage, my living room, kitchen and dining room are in a 24 x 24 open space. The ceiling on my first floor is 9 ft. tall, so the room does appear larger. However, there are no divisions, just a giant square room. Therefore, I have to get creative with hiding things and my need for extra storage space.
I have decorative furniture cabinets at each end of the farm table. I like the space on top to always be decorated so that it flows with the decor in main living area.
Today, I thought I would show you how I have decorated them for spring.

I always keep a large mirror on the wall over the cabinet near the front door. Do mirrors make your room look bigger? The answer, yes they do! Mirrors can make your room appear bigger and more open. Who couldn’t use that?
Early in the year, I picked up this Studio McGee artwork. I’m so glad I did because it is perfect for the spring and summer seasons! Adding my favorite home decor books, the colorful demijohn vase and a hand made pottery bowl gave me all the cheerful vibes for the season!
“Spring shows what God can do with a drab and dirty world.” – Virgil A. Kraft

Last but not least, is this pretty cabinet on the wall behind my farm table.
If you read my weekly news, Mitten Moments, you know that we just became empty nesters. Since all of our sons have moved out, I’ve decided to become a plant mom. What could be more cheerful, colorful and spring like than plants!
