Happy Sunday, everyone! It’s that time of the week again – time for your favorite Mitten Moments! I’m so glad you’re here to catch up on all the fun, inspiration, and little bits of life I’ve been enjoying and sharing this week.
Snow, snow and more snow! It’s been a week of many inches of snow. We recently took our granddaughter’s for a snowy Sunday ride. There’s an animal sanctuary not far away and we ventured over hoping to be able to pet some animals. In case you are unaware, an animal sanctuary is a facility where animals are brought to live and be protected for the rest of their lives. Many times during the year, they open to the public, accepting donations to help maintain the animals.
Unfortunately, the sanctuary was closed but we saw this beauty enjoying some fresh air and taking in the snowy view.
My Personal Moments
- If you craft, sew or love all things creative, I know you’re as sad as I am to hear that Joann Fabrics is closing 500 stores nationwide. I believe they are closing all their stores in Michigan. Ugh!
- I’m a busy gal, like most, but one of my goals this year is to make more time for reading. I just finished The Housemaid by Freida McFadden and did so in two days! It was a good one, friends! The story is about Millie, who becomes the live-in housekeeper for the wealthy Winchester family, which seems like a perfect arrangement. However, she soon discovers that her charming employers are hiding dark secrets, and her dream job quickly turns into a nightmare. Give it a read and let me know what you think.
- I like to watch a good period drama. I’m late to the game on this one, but I’ve been binging When Calls the Heart on Hallmark. I’m only a few seasons in and like it so far. Are any of you fans?

Kim, your Walmart finds I love! The rounded book shelf and the chair are similar to what I’ve been looking for! I’m eyeing the bookshelf but in black and the chair but as a recliner for my read corner, along with a lamp! Ready for that warm up next week!
