Good morning, friends! Welcome to March! Can you believe it? I feel like we just celebrated the new year and now we’ve started to turn the corner into warmer weather! I’m not complaining…the year just seems to be flying by.
I had a fun week! It was my birthday on Friday so, I had a few days of celebrating. No matter how old I get, or anyone for that matter, I think it is important to be grateful for another year and to be celebrated! Thanks to everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday. We’ll be celebrating with all our kids next weekend and I can’t wait for that!
It’s that time again! Grab your favorite cup of and get ready for some amazing Mitten Moments!

“By March, the worst of the winter would be over. The snow would thaw, the rivers begin to run and the world would wake into itself again.” ― Neil Gaiman
My Personal Moments
- I’m so excited! I just ordered a new book recommended by my blogging friend. It’s called The Crash by Freida McFadden. I’ll let you know how I like it. The book is about a woman who is trying to escape her past and becomes stranded in a blizzard, finding herself in a seemingly safe haven that quickly turns sinister. I’m here for it!

- Did you know I make blankets for a cause? I started a new blanket with the cutest cats on it. This client adores cats and I love how it’s coming together.

My Favorite Weekly Find
This is a good one, friends! I believe that every moment is a gift. During all seasons, it’s important to decide to live with a thankful heart, finding joy in God’s goodness. Joyce Meyer’s “The Power of Thank You” guides you to recognize the significance of gratitude.

A Few of My Favorite Moments
My good buddy, Jennifer from Cottage on Bunker Hill is the queen of high-end dupes. Wait until you see her Luxe for Less: DIY Orchid Arrangement & Planter. In some stores, these arrangements are currently retailing for $300 plus. Make sure you see how she created this budget-friendly arrangement!

I’m a big fan of anything with blue cheese in it. My friend Elizabeth shared her Apple Artichoke Salad with Blue Cheese and Walnuts. No matter what the season, this salad will be a fresh favorite!

I have only been growing dahlias for a few years. I love the large beautiful blooms and how they look in my gardens. Stacy from Bricks ‘n Blooms recently published a post Must-Grow Dahlia Varieties for Your Cut Flower Garden. If you enjoy growing dahlias as much as I do, you’ll love this post! Stacy just wrote an Easy-Care Flower Garden Planner. I’m looking forward to getting mine. You can pre-order your copy HERE.

My girlfriend has a Meyer lemon tree and recently gifted me one. Lemon trees are hard to come by in the Mitten so, her lemon was a wonderful gift. I recently saw this Meyer Lemon Cream Pie from Leslie at My 100 Year Old Home at it looks delicious!
