Happy Sunday, friends! Welcome back to my Mitten Moments! This week’s little collection is a peek into my world. You know, the things that have caught my eye, sparked my interest, and maybe even brought a smile to my face. I’ve also gathered a few gems shared by my wonderful friends, making this a little scrapbook of all the recent happenings.
I’m currently in Washington D.C. with Big Al and some friends. We’re checking out the beautiful cherry blossoms and all the sites. This is my first trip and I have to say it has been amazing, so far! Have you had the opportunity to go?

My Personal Moments
- I recently watched the four episode show Adolescence on Netflix. It was absolutely brilliant! Each episode is filmed in one continuous take which always fascinates me. The acting is some of the best I have seen in a very long time. Owen Cooper plays Jamie and it’s his very first role. Once you see him acting, you won’t believe it…especially in the third episode! Adolescence is heartbreaking, thought provoking and will leave you thinking about it for days. I highly recommend it! (Just FYI…As with most things on Netflix there is some rough language.)
- In sad news, all my teams are out of March Madness. Did you watch the Duke/Houston game…wow! I’ll still be watching on Monday night!
- I recently picked up a new book. It’s a Reese Witherspoon Book Club book called Society of Lies by Lauren Ling Brown. Have you read it, yet? The story follows Maya who returns to Princeton for her sister Naomi’s graduation but is devastated to learn Naomi has died. Suspecting foul play, Maya investigates and discovers Naomi joined the same exclusive club Maya once belonged to, uncovering dangerous secrets and forcing Maya to confront her own hidden past to find the truth about her sister’s death.
