Can you believe another week has flown by? Sunday is here again and it’s time for a new addition of Mitten Moments. I’m so excited to share a peek into what we’ve been up to, alongside some truly lovely finds from my talented blogging friends and other places that I know you’ll enjoy!
Do you like to thrift? Are you currently on the hunt for a specific vintage treasure? I enjoying thrifting and the art of the hunt. Especially when you have something specific in mind to buy. This weekend, I attended the Davisburg Vintage Market, here in the mitten, and we had so much fun! It’s always nice to support local events and have a bit of fun in our own backyard.

If you’ve never been to a vintage market, treat yourself! It’s so fun to browse all the vendors items and some of those may even bring up great memories of times past.
I found a couple of great buys and I’ll be sure to share them with you soon!
My Personal Moments
- I’m adding something new to our raised bed garden this year. I bought these amazing garden bags and plan on planting and growing some seed potatoes. I think it’s fun to try growing veggies that you’ve never grown before. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes!
- Go Gray in May! May is brain tumor awareness month. There is a story and a battle behind each person (and their families) diagnosed with a brain tumor. If you’re new here, and don’t know my son’s story, you can read all about his brain tumor journey HERE. I also make blankets and donate part of the proceeds in hopes of finding a cure for brain tumors. I’d love to make one for you!
- I’m a big fan of author and interior designer, James T. Farmer. You can preorder his book Home Again: A Return to Gracious Interiors. It comes out September 9th. If you love a beautiful and welcoming home, you’ll love his style!

- Have you long admired Martha Stewart’s impeccable taste, garden tips and culinary expertise? If so, have you had a chance to check out her new show, ‘Yes, Chef’? It’s been generating quite a buzz. I missed the first episode, but I’m hopeful to catch it this week. If you’ve seen it, I’d love to hear what you think!
