My Personal Moments

  • Are you a Downton Abbey fan? I’ve watched every season (at least once!) and it’s on my list of top ten all time favorite series. The full length movies are so entertaining and I can’t wait to see the newest and final one! If you’re a fan, I hope you get the opportunity to see it soon!
  • Last week, Big Al and I, along with our lifelong friends processed 40 bags/cans of tomatoes. We add various peppers and onions and use them in our homemade chili throughout the year. It’s a delicious addition to our family favorite!
  • It was a heavy week for many reasons. I needed to find a little joy in the simple things, so I started to rewatch All Creatures Great and Small. If you haven’t had the chance to watch, it’s a show that transports you to a place of simple joys, genuine kindness and breathtaking countryside views.
  • I received some happy mail and wanted to share it with you! You may remember, I pre-ordered Home Again by James T. Farmer III months ago, and it showed up, this week. I truly believe it is the most beautiful home decor book I’ve ever purchased. If you’re looking for beautiful inspiration, look no further than his new book!

A Few of My Favorite Moments

My friend Leslie from Feet Under My Table shared A Great Taco Ring that will be perfect for your next football gathering with friends and family!

A wooden platter filled with a ring of crescent rolls stuffed with taco meat. The center holds a small bowl of black olives and another with shredded cheese and lettuce. The platter is garnished with fresh red and yellow bell pepper slices, with two hollowed-out bell peppers filled with salsa and a sour cream dip. The entire platter is set on a vibrant green, grassy surface.

Wendy from WM Design House shared How to Make DIY Sweater Pears. I’ve seen plenty of DIY sweater pumpkins, but this is a first for sweater pears, and let me tell you they are beautiful! Festive too!

My friend Elizabeth from Pinecone and Acorns has some amazing recipes, and I’ve shared her here many times before. If you have zucchini left from your garden or you are looking for a yummy fall dessert to make try her Spiced Zucchini Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.
