Happy Sunday, friends! Welcome to another week of Mitten Moments. If you’re new here, Mitten Moments is a mix of cozy inspiration, yummy recipes, seasonal finds and some simple joys of life! Grab a cup of your favorite and settle in for a week of inspo and creativity!

It’s the first week in November and I have to admit, that cozy holiday feeling is starting to creep in. We’ve had some cold mornings, and the frost has finally shown it’s face on the ground. Even when you turn the radio on, they’re playing Christmas music! Yes, the holiday season is starting to build, but it will be a week or more before I start to decorate. How about you? I’d love to hear if you decorate before or after Thanksgiving?
“Fear not November’s challenge bold. We’ve books and friends, and hearths that never can grow cold. These make amends.” – Alexander L. Fraser

My Personal Moments
- Halloween was a big success for our family! We gathered together, had a cozy dinner, dressed like the characters from Toy Story, and had blast trick or treating! One for the memory books, for sure!

- If you’re a football fan like the folks in our family, you’re definitely sad to know the season is more than half over! Feels like it just began. Our Detroit Lions take on the Minnesota Vikings today and we are counting on a win! Go Lions!
- I’ve got a new book alert! I just picked up The Intruder by Frieda McFadden . Her books are easy to read and always entertaining. The book tells the story of Casey who lives in a cabin that is not meant to withstand a hurricane. However, on this night, she’s more worried about the young girl she just found lurking outside her kitchen window, alone and covered in blood. Will they both make it through the night? You’ll have to read to find out!

A Few of My Favorite Moments
This DIY project is a beauty! My friend Missy from Sonata Home Design shared her post Repurposing Canvas Art. She has definitely inspired me to try this DIY on one of my old canvas pieces!

If you’re preparing your Christmas decor, Rachel from The Ponds Farmhouse shared her DIY Paper Honeycomb Ornaments. There’s nothing like homemade ornaments on the tree! They always make me smile and I try to add some new ones every year.

Let’s hear it for my fellow sweet tooth friends! I love homemade desserts. My next share comes from Stacy at Bricks ‘n Blooms. Her Cinnamon Roll Dump Cake is perfect for your next brunch or fall gathering.

And Now…
Here are some other WONDERFUL moments I found:
