Mitten Moments

Happy snowy Sunday from the Mitten! For those of you in the winter storm’s path, I hope you’re all safe and cozy, riding out this awful winter storm. For those of you not in the storm’s path, send some sunshine our way! Whatever the weather, sit back, grab your favorite cup of goodness and join me as I’m sharing some of my favorite Mitten Moments from the week.

My Personal Moments

  • I recently headed over to Pottery Barn to get some decorating inspiration. They have some beautiful items this coming season! From tableware to bedding, I’ve curated a list of my favorites and you can see them all HERE.
  • Since we’ve had so much snow this month, my granddaughters and I have been playing inside. Go Fish and Old Maid, doing puzzles and making crafts has occupied some of our time. Looking forward to sharing our new Mimi and Me post this coming week!
  • Theo of Golden by Allen Levi is currently on my nightstand. It’s beautifully written and a feel-good read. I’m not completely finished but I highly recommend it. If you read it, let me know what you think. What’s currently on your nightstand? I always love recommendations!

  • Are you a make-up kind of person? I wear it, but recently I don’t like the way my current make-up looks with my fine lines. I just ordered a make-up starter kit from Laura Geller. I couldn’t pass up trying it because the sale price was unbelievable! I’ll keep you posted on how I like it and my fine lines! LOL

A Few of My Favorite Moments

Whether you’re rushing littles off to school, heading to work or the gym, there’s nothing like a quick and easy breakfast, in the morning. Jen from Midwest Life and Style shared her Quick and Easy Blueberry Overnight Oats. This healthy breakfast is sure to help with your busy mornings!

A glass jar filled with creamy blueberry overnight oats mixed with chia seeds, topped with fresh blueberries and a layer of crunchy granola. A silver spoon rests on a white marble surface next to the jar, with extra berries and oats scattered around for a healthy breakfast scene.

I’m always looking for something fun to create with my granddaughters. Elizabeth from Pinecones and Acorns blessed me with my next project idea! Her Valentine’s M&M Fudge Brownies are easy to make and the perfect sweet treat for my favorite littles!

A flat lay of homemade chocolate brownies topped with pink, red, and white candy-coated chocolates on a white marble surface. The festive Valentine's Day dessert scene includes a glass jar of red heart candies, a bowl of M&Ms, chocolate chips, and a string of red heart lights on a themed 'Love' napkin.

  1. Hope you’re staying warm, friend. It is so darn cold here, too. Thankfully, not much snow, but we’ve officially reached the stage of winter where I’m over it….too bad it’s only January!

I’ll be curious to hear what you think of the Laura Gellar makeup. I’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger due to the expense, but I don’t like my current makeup either, and how it settles in the fine lines, especially under my eyes.

And thank you for sharing my overnight oats recipe. I hope you enjoy it! It’s one of my new favorites and perfect for busy mornings.

    1. We have had so much snow this month! I do love the beauty of this time of year. BTW, I love the Laura Gellar makeup. They are having some really great deals right now and totally worth the purchase in my opinion. Have a good rest of the week, Jen!
