Happy Sunday, friends! Easter is just around the corner and spring is showing off around the cottage. My daffodils are coming up and honestly, there’s nothing better than seeing those first little blooms pop up after a long winter. It’s the sweetest reminder that new life and new seasons are always on their way. I’m so glad you’re here today. Let’s get into all the good moments I’ve gathered for you this week!

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” – John 12:13

My Personal Moments
- March Madness is a fun time of the year and my two favorite teams are playing each other today. Michigan and Tennessee and I’m torn on who I want to win. I picked Michigan to go all the way, but my youngest son bleeds orange and tells me I definitely should be routing for Tennessee!
- We celebrated my middle son’s birthday. I won’t tell you how old he is because it makes me feel old. The good news, though? It was an amazing day celebrating him!
- I’m leaving my murder/mystery love behind and I just pre-ordered a warm, feel-good romance book. Chasing the Clouds Away by Debbie Macomber tells the story of Maisy Gallagher who set aside her own dreams to care for her family after losing her father, while Chase Furst has spent his life emotionally closed off after a difficult childhood. When their paths cross, Maisy shows him unexpected kindness and instead of accepting payment, she challenges him to pay it forward through a true act of selflessness.

If you want to get me out of the house, tell me we’re going out for Mediterranean food. It’s one of my favorites! I’ve been seeing Amo Sami’s Shawarma featured by many people on TikTok, so naturally I had to try it. They have 5 locations in the metro Detroit area. The shawarma sandwich is know for their signature mom’s recipe sauce which is slathered over each one and grilled perfectly crisp. Crunchy and oh, so yummy!
The location Big Al and I went to was actually inside a BP Gas Station. Sound weird? Not really, because many chains are now located inside gas stations. Just like Subway and Dunkin Donuts, right?
