Mitten Moments

Hey friends! Happy Sunday to you. I hope you’re having an amazing day so far. Can you believe it’s already the middle of April? We’ve had some really warm weather and everything is starting to come to life. Trees and flowers are blooming, and there is extra sunshine coming through the windows which is always a spirit lifter! It’s the simple things, isn’t it? I’m so glad you stopped by today. I’ve got some great moments waiting for you!

“I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host of golden daffodils
Beside the lake beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”
― William Wordsworth, I Wander’d Lonely as a Cloud

My Personal Moments

  • Have you watched The Forsytes on PBS? It’s so good! I’ve gotten so used to bingeing streaming shows, I can hardly wait for Sunday night to roll around and watch the next episode. If you’re looking for something new, it’s definitely worth the watch!
  • Did I tell you I’m heading to Italy this summer? We’re doing a little cruising and a little land touring. I’m so excited I can hardly stand it! If you’ve ever been, I’d love to hear your recommendations.
  • I have a new book to share. Set in 1966 California, The Secret Lives of Murderers’ Wives by Elizabeth Arnott follows three women who all share one dark secret. They were each married to a killer. Can you imagine?? When new murders hit their community, these unlikely friends decide there’s no one better to catch a killer than women who once lived with one!

  • I’ll be tending to my peonies and hydrangeas this afternoon. Two of my favorite plants in my gardens. I finally bought these support peony cages and now is the perfect time to get them around my peonies. I also need to fertilize my hydrangeas. I always do it at Halloween and mid-April. You can see my favorite fertilizer HERE. Do you have any peonies or hydrangeas?
