Hey friends! Happy sunny Sunday from the Mitten! Yes, the smoky skies have left us and the sun is finally shining! It’s Mitten Moments time, so grab your favorite spot and check out all the goodness I have waiting for you!
Mitten Moments is my weekly Sunday post where I share a little slice of life from the Cottage, what’s been going on around here, some of my favorite finds, and posts from my blogging friends that I just know you’re going to love. I’m so glad you’re here!

“In the summer, the days were long, stretching into each other. Out of school, everything was on pause and yet happening at the same time, this collection of weeks when anything was possible.” —Sarah Dessen
My Personal Moments
- A reboot of Little House on the Prairie just premiered on Netflix. I read all the books as a kid and watched the original show. So far, I’ve watched five episodes, and I have to say I’m really enjoying it. If you’ve seen it, let me know what you think!
- Before the smoke rolled in, we were up north and had some beautiful weather! Is there anything better than good summer beach days, relaxing with family and friends? The perfect July weekend, for sure!

- I bought the cutest night light this week! You can see it here.

A Few of My Favorite Moments
My friend KariAnne from Thistlewood farm is so talented and among her talents is great storytelling. I can’t wait for you to read her post Behind Every Yard Sale Find is a Really Good Story. Have you ever found a special piece with a great story?

I’ve always grown herbs of some kind. I love the way the enhance food. Leslie from Feet Under My Table shared her Compound Herb Butters. Even if you don’t grow your own herbs, store bought will work just as good. Make sure you check out her delicious recipes!

Raise your hand if you love a good chicken salad! My blogging friend Missy from Sonata Home Design showed us how to make her Tropical Curry Chicken Salad with Pineapple and Cashews. It has a unique, yummy flavor and can be served over a lettuce or on a croissant!
