Mitten Moments

Welcome to my Mitten Moments!

Random moments from my week that I am sharing with you!!

Rain, rain, go away!

It’s day four of rain in The Mitten.

Have no fear, tomorrow is Halloween, the rain is projected to stop and those little trick or treaters will have partly cloudy skies.

“Halloween was confusing. All my life my parents said, ‘Never take candy from strangers.’ And then they dressed me up and said, ‘Go beg for it.'” – Rita Rudner

Funny, don’t you agree?

The Last Weekend

Affiliate links are used in this post. Read my full disclosure here.

1) Can you believe it?

It’s the last weekend of October and that includes Halloween!

Do you celebrate or have plans? We’ll be sure to see our sweet gbaby in all her costume glory!

Could there be a better Halloween than that?

2) As the calender turns to November, soon all my fall stuff will come down and my Christmas stuff will go up.

If you haven’t seen my Best Fall Home Tour, there’s still time!

I know many of you think it’s too early for Christmas decor, but I am having wrist surgery the first of December. SOOOO, this girl has got to get shopping, wrapping and decorating for Christmas.

Have you started your shopping and planning, yet?

3) For all you Mitten football fans, Michigan and Michigan State face off today.

Who are you rooting for?

Blog Talk

This week on the blog, I shared my fun How To Create A Trash To Treasure Project.

My hubby picked some chairs out of the neighbor’s trash and I transformed them.

What a fun project, made even easier by using Dixie Belle paint products. If you have never used their products, do yourself a favor and try them out!

If you missed this post, head on over and check it out now!

Next week on the blog, I’ll be showing you some of my favorite Walmart Christmas finds.

Other Random Items This Week

1) Did you know that William Harding, the 29th president lost White House china in a poker game?

Nope, me either…but the Snapple cap on my tea this week told me so. Therefore, it must be true!

Can you imagine that happening today?

2) If the tomato is a fruit, then ketchup is the jam. Think about that the next time you have ketchup with your fries.

And Now…

Here are some other WONDERFUL moments, I found this week:

These amazing wood charger plates

The easiest sweater stocking

This sweet story of Pound Cake and Twins

This elegant Thanksgiving table

Prayers for a smooth surgery and swift recovery! Love the chair…so many gals use the Dixie Belle paints with good success. It’s hard to believe that Monday is November 1 and time changes again on November 7.

Oh, Kim. I loved your Mitten moments today. Thank you for including the pound cake post. I am still making them and sending to out of town friends who didn’t make it to her funeral.
