Happy Saturday from a January day in the Mitten and welcome to my Mitten Moments!
You know, those random moments from my week that I am sharing with you.

How do you like my Cottage in the Mitten mug? I have a graphic for each season thanks to my talented graphic designing son. I’m thinking about selling them and donating part of the proceeds to the cause. What do you think?
I’m always looking for a new show to watch. This week, I started watching Grantchester. It’s a series that started in 2014 and season seven is on it’s way.
Think English Murder She Wrote…right up my alley!

It’s a big NFL weekend! This house will be rooting for Matt Stafford and the Rams! If you don’t know, Matt Stafford played for the Detroit Lions for a bizillion years and the poor guy got nowhere. One year with the Rams and he is winning!
You go Matt! You go!!
This Week On The Blog
Every January, I spend some time setting goals and reflecting on the previous year.
How about you? Do you do that?
Anyway, my reflecting made me share one of my favorite blog memories from last year.
Can you guess what it is?
My milk painted dresser in Arabesque! Arabesque is the prettiest shade of pink from Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint.

Did you get a chance to see it?
If not, you can still check out How to Best Paint Furniture with Milk Paint. It was such a fun project and I absolutely LOVE the color!

Random Trivia
Since I live in the Mitten, it’s only fitting that I tell you that Tuesday was National Michigan Day, and of course, give you some facts!
Michigan is the Great Lakes State because we are bordered by four of the five Great North American Lakes.
It’s the only state spread between an upper and lower pennisula.
We are home to the “Big Three”…General Motors, Ford, and Fiat Chrysler. If you live here, you definitely know someone who works at one!
Finally, we are home to the Motown sound. Now that’s some good music!!
And Now…
Here are some other WONDERFUL moments, I found this week:

Hey friend! I love your Saturday morning posts. Hugs to you.
Awe, thank you Renae! Enjoy your weekend!!
Love your posts. I, too, created a “ME” space that I call my SHE DEN. It was intended to be an office but as retirees we do not need it. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.
Thank you! A space to call your own is always nice!
I love your Mitten moments. I was actually born in St.Joe Michigan and then lived in Cheboygan, my dad was in the Coast Guard. Every time your blog pops up it reminds me of my time in Michigan. Thank you for sharing all of your great links!
That’s so fun, Elizabeth! I’m glad my Mitten Moments give you fond memories! Thanks for stopping by!

Before and afters!
Oh, please do! I can’t wait to see what you transform! Have a great week! xo
I love that mug, Kim! Great idea for the room. I’m not a pink person but every time I see your pink room…I need pink in my life. So calming! Happy Sunday, friend!
Thanks Leslie! I’m glad you like it. 🙂
Your blog is so inspirational! Michigan is such a beautiful state all 4 seasons, what a great place to live. Your description has brought back so many beautiful memories. I am also a lifelong Matt S. Fan, no matter who he is playing for. He and his family are the real deal.
I would buy your mug! Will order another quilt soon. Your devotion to finding a cure is inspirational. Love the paint project and vases. What a soothing shade of pink. The links are wonderful. Keep posting.
Love those vases, that rose color would be great in my cottage bedroom! Also, I’d like to order a mug myself! We spent time working at the cottage this weekend, the winter view of the lake (Huron) was just spectacular! Since this is a Michigan blog, my cottage is in Lexington, looking at you left hand for reference, (held up like a stop gesture), my place is the middle knuckle outside edge of the thumb. That’s what we do in Michigan for navigation!! Happy Sunday!!
You’re so right about the hand navigation!
Thank you so much, Tina! You’re always so encouraging and kind. I’ll let you know if I have the mugs printed. I am hoping Matt makes it to the Super Bowl! Have a wonderful week! xo
well…I missed you sharing my recipe! I must not have clicked on my link! Thanks for sharing it…you always make my heart happy, sweet friend.
I’m so sorry you missed it! It was the last one…yummy comfort food. I always enjoy linking my frinds!
Interesting tips about Michigan Kim. I didn’t know that Michigan is divided into two peninsulas. I’m sure it’s a beautiful state with all of those huge lakes! Happy Weekend!
It really is, Cindy! You’ll have to come visit sometime!
Kim, I think you should sell the mugs. Those little pink vases are darling. A perfect bargain.
I had never heard of “The Mitten” until you.
Yes, it’s on my heart, so I probably will sell them. Working on the details now. I’m so glad we’ve become friends and I can share the beautiful Mitten state with you!
