Welcome back to another exciting edition of Mitten Moments! As the sun sets on another week, I’m thrilled to bring you a fresh dose of inspiration!
It’s hard to believe it, but it’s here. September quietly strolled on in and hit the 90 degree mark here in the Mitten. Like many of you, I’m wondering where did the summer months go? Although our calendar says it will be summer for a few more weeks, you can see the trees in Michigan are already making their turn for fall.

My Personal Mitten Moments
- Big Al and I celebrated our anniversary! I’m so grateful for Big Al and the life we have built together! We aren’t as young as we once were, but we still have fun together!

- Are you ready for some football? The NFL season officially starts on Thursday and this girl is ready for Sunday family gatherings, which includes football and crockpots of good food! Do you like football? If so, what team do you root for? Win or lose, I’m a die-hard Lion’s fan!
- I’ve shared alot about our family’s raised bed garden and how to maintain the garden, this season. My middle son tried his hand at canning and I can’t wait to try them! They look so good! Even there sweet kitty wants some! Have you ever canned anything? I’d love to hear about it!
- I watched a new documentary on Netflix. It’s called Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones. Wanna live to 100? Interesting and definitely worth the watch!

Canning is fun with spouse, family, or friend to help. Not hard, just lots of steps.
Yes, the garden and all that goes with it has been alot of family fun!
I’m just catching up, Kim! I really enjoyed this post. You are so enthusiastic and it helps me get motivated. No, I won’t be canning anytime soon, but I can get out my autumn wreath and table runner. I’ve had some things for so long that I need to pitch (or donate) them and start fresh. I ordered the wreath from your blog last year and love it. I’ll be scoping out some of your ideas this year too. Keep ’em coming. I need this!
Thanks for the encouragement, Michelle! I’m so glad you like the wreath you ordered! xo
