Good Saturday morning from the Mitten! I’ve been a busy girl and today I’m sharing some of my fun Mitten Moments from the last couple of weeks.
Can you believe it is the last weekend in July? I know within a month or so everyone will start to celebrate all things fall, especially those of us in the blogging world. However, I’m still here for my flowers and what summer has left to offer!
Fall can wait just a few weeks!
Has it been hot in your neck of the woods?? It has been hot in the Mitten and we have had very little rain. I’ve been watering like crazy and despite the heat, my flowers are still looking great! My dahlia’s and zinnia’s are finally starting to bloom.
“I must have flowers, always, and always.”
― Claude Monet
I get so excited preparing for everything to bloom! Even though I know what I’ve planted, it’s such a gift when they finally start to show their colors!

I spent most of last week in Atlanta, Georgia for the Haven Blogging Conference. It’s always so much fun to meet-up with your online friends in person!
We laughed, learned and shared some fabulous meals together! I may or may not have gotten locked out of my room, while in my pajamas….but that’s a story for another time!
Below are a few of my friends! My blogging bestie, Jennifer from Cottage on Bunker Hill, Robyn from Robyn’s French Nest, Brendt from She Gave It A Go, Jen (and Trent in the background) from Noting Grace, Tammy from White Lilac Farmhouse, Leslie from Feet Under My Table and my blogging mentor KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms.
These are just some of the amazing people who have been a blessing to me in my blogging journey.

Have you watched the Netflix series Virgin River? If not, you should! It’s about a women who is looking for a fresh start in a small Northern California town.
It’s so good!
You’ll love it!
I binge watched season 4 this week and let me tell you it did not disappoint!

This Week On The Blog
Since my last Mitten Moments I’ve shared a couple fun posts.
Did you get to see them?
If not, I’ve linked them for you below.
First up, I participated in an outdoor dining hop! I always love setting a pretty table whether it be inside or outdoors. It was fun sharing How To Create An Easy Outdoor Table Setting with you all.
I put this table together for an evening spent with my new book club. It turned out to be a great night and I think everyone loved the table!
Especially the cupcakes!
Creating a special table doesn’t have to cost a fortune and can be such a fun and easy process. Your guests will feel like you really went the extra mile for their visit and what’s better than making others feel special?!

Raise your hand if you’re all about jumping on the Christmas in July train.
This week, my blogging friends and I got together and brought you all our Christmas inspiration. I shared Christmas in July – My Festive Cottage Home.
Looking back at my Christmas past really got me excited for this coming Christmas. I gathered some great ideas from my friends and can’t wait to put my plans into motion!

A Few Favorite Mitten Moments
I’m a little late with this favorite moment, but my friend Heidi from Eleanor Rose Home shared her grandma’s old fashioned peach pie with custard filling. What a treasure to have a family recipe like this!
Nothing says summer to me like fresh peaches!
Doesn’t it look so scruptous?!

Since I finally got my own charcuterie board, I’ve been looking for fun ways to create them. My friend Jen from Tatertots and Jello shared this amazing Honey-Themed Dessert Board with Pretzel Bees.
Pretzel bees!
C’mon! How cute are those?
Can I just say I’m obsessed!

Last but certainly not least, is a beautiful post from my blogging bestie Jennifer from Cottage on Bunker Hill. She recently took a weekend trip to Rockport, MA.
Talk about picture perfect!!
This New England coastal town is beautiful and definitely shares all the goodness of summer!
Actually, it’s probably just as beautiful in the winter too!!
Make sure you swing by and check out her post!
