It’s the weekend and I couldn’t be happier. Besides all the good Mitten Moments I found, I’ll be spending much needed time with my family.
Due to covid, family travel, and life it has been some time since our family has all been together. That changes this weekend and that’s why I am so happy! I may even be making a homemade pot of spaghetti and meatballs to celebrate!
Comfort food and time spent with family, what’s better?

“The strength of a family, like the strength of an army, lies in its loyalty to each other.” – Mario Puzo
I finally saw the movie Where the Crawdad’s Sing. My thoughts? It was good, however I think the book is so much better. I give it a 7. Just my opinion of course!
Go Lions! NFL preseason football started this week! Are you ready for football season and all things pumpkin spice? Ready or not, it will be here in full force before you know it!
This Week On The Blog
I shared my first recipe on the blog this week. My friends and I shared some of our summer favorites and I shared How To Make The Best Blueberry Buckle!
If you love blueberries, it’s a must try and it’s super easy to make!
Head on over and check it out! Plus you’ll get to see the pretty orange KitchenAid mixer Big Al bought me!
Would you like to see me share more recipes? Let me know!

A Few Of My Favorite Mitten Moments
Many of my favorite moments this week were beautiful tables shared by my friends. They were so beautiful and full of really great ideas that I wanted to share them with you!
Speaking of tables, did you see when I recently shared How To Create An Easy Outdoor Table Setting? If you missed it, I would love for you to stop by and see it!
There’s still plenty of time to entertain outdoors!

You know I love a pretty table setting and so does my friend Rachel from The Ponds Farm. She is so creative and this week she made some Pottery Barn look alike napkin rings. Wait until you see her project! I think they look better than the Pottery Barn pieces!
Amazing, right?
Check out her blog so you can see how you can create them too!

While we are on the topic of table settings, my blogging mentor and friend, KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms, shared How To Decorate Your Fall Table By Shopping Your House.
How brillant!
Being thrifty by shopping your own home!
Who wants to go out and buy new decor items every year?
Make sure to stop by and see all her beautiful ideas!

Someone who always sets a beautiful table is my friend Leslie from My 100 Year Old Home. She is creative, crafty and all things beautiful when it comes to home decor. I have teased her before, telling her she puts Martha Stewart to shame.
If you don’t believe me, check out her blog for yourself!
Earlier this week, Leslie shared how she rescued a stained tablecloth in her post Celebrating The End Of Summer With A DIY. Wait until you see the tablecloth AND the way she set the table. It is absolutely stunning!
