It’s the weekend and you know what that means! Time to share all the lovely Mitten Moments I found over the last week!
My Personal Mitten Moments
I love to sleep with the windows open this time of year. It’s the perfect tempature for a good nights sleep. The only problem, I’m so cozy when I wake up I don’t want to get out of bed!
Can you relate??
We had some beautiful 70 degree weather the first part of the week. But alas, we have turned that fall corner and fell into the 30’s a couple of recent nights.
And yes…my window is still open!
In some exciting news, I have been named an Ambassador for Hometalk! If you don’t know what Hometalk is, let me fill you in. Hometalk is the largest online community of home and garden DIYers. You can find a plethora of how-to’s, ideas and advice to create the home you love.
The vintage dollhouse Big Al and I are working on is coming along. I had hoped to share my post with you last week but that just didn’t happen. I promise you will get to see it this week!
“Gratitude for the turning of the seasons. May we attune our hearts to their enduring message of renewal.” — Kristin Granger
Do you remember last week I told you I was going to cover my cut flower garden in hopes of saving my flowers from the frost? Well, I think I have finally cut the last of my flowers. A little sad, but I’m always excited for what each new season brings.
And the biggest personal moment from the week? My mom celebrated her 91st birthday! How amazing is that!! We shared dinner, cake and family! No better way to end the weekend!!

A Few Of My Favorite Mitten Moments
I am a BIG fan of wallpaper.
Like a fan from way back when. I’ve always had some wallpaper in my home.
“The first thing she noticed when the light popped on was that the wallpaper had rows and rows of tiny lilacs on it, like scratch-and-sniff paper, and the room actually smelled a little like lilacs. – Sarah Addison Allen, The Girl Who Chased the Moon
My friend, Heidi from Eleanor Rose Home hung the prettiest wallpaper in her home, this week. It’s so pretty and adds to her already beautiful home! If you love wallpaper you must go knock on her door.
And if you aren’t a big fan, you must go knock on her door…I promise this wallpaper will make you love it!
Are you a fan of candy corn? I could honestly take it or leave it, but Candy Corn Rice Krispie Treats…yes, please! Alea from Premeditated Leftovers shared this fun and yummy treat! Simple, festive and it’s the perfect fall treat!
I know my granddaughter would love these!
I’ve shared my friend, Leslie from My 100 Year Old Home, many times. Well, I just received her book A Home To Share. It is an inspiring and beautiful book full of amazing decor ideas. I have previously teased and told her she is WAY better than Martha Stewart, any day of the week! This would be a delightful Christmas gift, for someone who loves home decor!
