Happy Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day! Welcome to my weekly newsletter, Mitten Moments! Moments that I share with you from my week.
My Personal Mitten Moments
We had a beautiful week in the Mitten. All my flowering trees are in bloom and it definitely gives this girl a good, happy feeling. I have a good variety with my dogwood, cherry, magnolia and redbud trees. We had a week of 80 degree temps in April and everything started to bloom; then the cold Michigan temps blew in. I was worried they wouldn’t bloom to their fullest, but worrying was a waste!
As you can see, they did just fine!

Did you do anything special for Mother’s Day? I spent the morning at church and then a Mexican lunch with my family. I never take for granted the beautiful gift of being a mother and a mimi! There is nothing, in this world, that I love more! For all the wonderful mother’s out there, I hope your day was very special and filled the people you adore and doing all the things you love best!
I know Mother’s Day can be hard for some. For those of you that are grieving the loss of your mother or a child, please know I am praying for you today.

We planted our family garden and we all have our fingers crossed that it’s a success! Can you guess what all we planted?

The first flowering trees and bushes of summer. Then summer rushes in. Love the redbud, dogwood and magnolias. I missed the forsythia, and pear blooms this year here. Your beautiful family, know you enjoyed Mother’s Day just being together!
