My Personal Mitten Moments
I recently shared Simple Tips for Starting a Raised Bed Garden. A couple of weeks ago, my family planted a garden at my youngest son’s home. Sadly, due to an unexpected Michigan frost, we lost some of our plants. You may be asking why we didn’t cover our plants. Well, we did, and we still lost a few. So I spent one evening this week replacing the ones that didn’t make it. Fingers crossed we are in the clear with the cold weather!
By the way, here’s a tidbit about me. If I haven’t misplaced my glasses, they are crooked on top of my head. As evident by the picture above! Friends, you can be sure to always find real life here!
It’s hard to believe, but our precious twin granddaughters turned one! The year has gone by so fast and they are such a gift!

Summer is a season that invites us to step outside, embrace the warmth, and revel in the beauty of the world around us. Earlier this week, I participated in the Bloggers’ Best Summer Home Tour hosted by my friend, Kelly from The Tattered Pew.
I participate in these home tours each season and there is so much inspiration to be found. This tour consisted of twenty-eight talented and creative women who opened their homes up for you.
If you missed it, you can check out my post Searching for Summer: My Simple Cottage Home Tour. The bonus? You can visit each summer home tour by clicking the links within my post!
