Hey there, my wonderful friends! It’s that time of the week again when we come together and I share the highlights of the past seven days, commonly known as my Mitten Moments.
My Personal Mitten Moments
I was absent from my weekly last Sunday, due to the stomach flu. It has made the rounds to a portion of my family and I’m praying it ended with me! Talk about an unexpected few days on the couch. Trust me, I like an occassional day loafing on the couch, but not like that!
Did you do anything special to honor the fathers in your life? We celebrated Big Al and my son with dinner, gifts, and time together. Nothing better than time together. I feel like it’s the best gift!

Last weekend, our oldest granddaughter had her first dance recital! Raising all boys, the dance recital path is a little different for us, but in a really good way! Of course, she was spectacular…even if she didn’t do a whole lot of dancing. She is only 3 and our absolute favorite tiny dancer!

After three very sunny and dry weeks in the Mitten, we finally got a few days of much needed rain! Nothing like fresh rain for the family garden and flowers! YES! If you are new here, we have a family garden. You can check out my Simple Tips for Starting a Raised Bed Garden and try one for yourself! It’s an easy project and one you can create with the whole family!

A Few Of My Favorite Moments
I love this part of my weekly share. It’s the part where I get to show you my favorite moments from my friends. I hope you love cookies, because I have two yummy recipes that you are definitely not going to want to miss! Let’s get started!
My friend Norma from Paint Me Pink made the most adorable Teddy Bear Peanut Butter Cookies! Not only do they look cute, they sound delish!

For my next amazing cookie moment, check out these lemon and ricotta cookies with glaze, that my good friend Wendy from WM Design House made.
I love anything lemon!
Her recipe is just the like the lemon and ricotta cookies from Nordstrom. Wendy is an expert on all things Nordstrom. Check out her blog to find out why and get this fantastic recipe!
