My Personal Mitten Moments
- It’s a miracle! I’ve finally had success growing hydrangeas. Do you grow them? I’ve been reading all about drying them and finally cut some today. Fingers crossed and wish me luck!
- We had a fun family friend wedding and our youngest son stood up. However, you’ll never believe what happened. The reception was interrupted by a tornado warning. Everyone was evacuated to the basement of the country club. That is also where they store all the golf carts. Needless to say, the carts made a great place to sit while we waiting out the storm. When the threat of bad weather was over, all the guests were able to resume the celebrating. What a story the bride and groom will have! Crazy right?!
- Have you every heard of twisted bacon? Apparently, it’s all the rage for cooking bacon, and supposedly, it makes your bacon crispy and tender. Who knew?

Thanks Elizabeth!
You are so sweet to include my pink milk glass post with your features this week, Kim, thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I’m super excited about your hydrangeas. I’ve had to baby mine in containers on the front porch because it’s so hot and humid in Florida. They’ve lasted a lot longer than I thought they would but they need to be transferred now and I’m so nervous about it. Anyway, glad your son and all the wedding guests were ok. You look so beautiful and what a fun memory! Big hugs and thank yous, CoCo
Thanks so much, CoCo! I’ll say a little prayer for your hydrangea transfer. They are such beautiful flowers and I would be nervous, too! We have such harsh winters, I’ll be praying mine come back in the spring. Have a great rest of your week!
