Happy Sunday and happy October, friends! How was your first full week of fall? Despite having a rainy week in the Mitten, we are enjoying an unseasonably warm and beautiful weekend! Before you start your Sunday, grab your favorite cup of and check out all the goodness I have for you in my weekly Mitten Moments!

My Personal Mitten Moments
- I’m still loving my hydrangeas, that I dried. A little secret…I’m still drying more. The weather has been so warm and my hydrangeas are still blooming, so why not? My plan is to use them all and make a wreath. If you haven’t dried hydrangeas before and are looking for an easy method, read my blog post on How to Dry Hydrangeas for Beginners: A Step-by-Step Guide.

- Do you can or freeze the goodies from your garden? Every year, Big Al and I freeze tomatoes, peppers and onions, with our life-long friends. We’ve been friends almost 50 years, so I’d say that qualifies for life-long! We use them as the base for our homemade chili throughout the year. I actually can’t remember how many years we have being doing it, but we keep coming back for more, and now our grown children want them, too! Speaking of chili, our middle son entered the chili cook-off tonight at church. I’ll keep you posted on how he does!

Love your Mitter moments! We too freeze tomatoes. I usually roast the tomatoes with garlic and herbs and freeze to use in chili, soups and pasta sauce.
