I’m late this week with my Mitten Moments. I guess I’m busy putting on the Christmas finishing touches like so many others!

I can’t help but wonder—have you made all your lists and checked them twice? With Christmas just a week away, it’s time to embrace the joy of the season, gather our thoughts, and prepare for the festivities that await us. While you’re preparing to do all that, take a moment to come on by the cottage and see all the Mitten Moments I have to share with you!

“Christmas now surrounds us, happiness is everywhere. Our hands are busy with many tasks as carols fill the air.” Shirley Sallay

I’m almost embarrassed to admit, but I have four wrapping paper containers full of beautiful paper. Four containers, friends. I usually do a theme for my paper; similar colors and ribbon. However, this year, I vowed to use up what I have. I’m happy to report it’s going great and the packages under my tree are a rainbow of colors!

Rainbow is a theme, right?

I also have a present for you! Now you can dress up your Christmas gifts with my adorable FREE printable gift tags! Just click here and here to download yours now!

Festive for sure!

My Personal Mitten Moments

  • Last weekend, we had a fun gathering with friends at a new Mexican Restaurant in town. The food was excellent and the margarita wasn’t bad either! We’ve been friends since our sons were in kindergarten. What a blessing it is to have gained friends through our son’s friendships! Do you have friendships like that?
  • If you live where it snows, then you know there’s nothing more magical than having snow for Christmas. In very sad news, it is projected to be sunny and 50 in the Mitten for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • I watched the Sound of Music over the weekend, for the 2,710th time. At least it seems like that many! It was just as amazing as the first time I saw it!

  1. Kim,
I am not sure if you know this but I was born in St. Joseph, Michigan and then lived in New Buffalo and for several years in Cheboygan. I still have family in New Buffalo and each time I see your Mitten Moments I am transported back to many happy memories.
THANK YOU for sharing my peppermint tart, and for sharing my other recipes this year, it is very kind of you and I appreciate it.
I love the idea of a rainbow of wrapping paper. I have a huge box myself and HATE wrapping gifts. I have a pile sitting on the floor waiting.
    Have a very Merry Christmas!

    1. Yes, I was thinking about the fact that you were from Michigan today, when I was on your blog. If you still lived in the Mitten I would come over and wrap for you! I love it. Merriest Christmas, Elizabeth! I hope you’re blessed real big!

  2. Kim, you have been a busy lady. my goodness! Thank you so much for sharing my fruit dip. I appreciate it. We are heading to Colorado for Christmas, but I’m not sure if we’ll have any snow either. Sad.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your famly!

  3. I thought of you today as I was putting all my gifts in gift bags. Lol. I had to simplify. Maybe some nice bows on them will help. Thanks for always inspiring me to find ways to be creative. ❤️
