Hello friends! I’m so late with my Mitten Moments, but better late than never. That’s how the saying goes, right? This week’s Mitten Moments are a variety of stories, both from my own adventures and those I discovered in the friendly corners of the blogosphere. So settle in, grab a cup of something comforting, and let’s delve into the little sparks of joy that make life special!

“You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4th, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics were kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.” – Erma Bombeck

This year seems to be flying at a faster pace than any year I can remember. Therefore, it’s hard for me to believe it’s already July! Do you have any Fourth of July plans?

My Personal Moments

  • We had a fun picnic last week with our oldest granddaughter. Homemade sammies and goldfish were on the menu. A yummy lunch, playscape and splash pad were all that was needed for good old fashion summertime fun!

  • Are you a golfer? I’ve taken lessons twice, but I just can’t seem to get the hang. I like to watch…does that count? This past weekend, Big Al and our friends got tickets for the Rocket Mortgage Classic played at the Detroit Golf Club. I’ve never been to a PGA tourney and it was fun to see some of the big names in action!
  • Have you heard the new term “pebbling”? Pebbling is the act of sending friends memes, links, and videos on social media or through messaging apps. It’s like giving someone a small gift, similar to how Gentoo penguins offer pebbles to potential mates. Cute, huh?

My Favorite Weekly Find

I think every household has a beach bag or two. I found the perfect bag and it’s inexpensive, too! A beach bag allows you to easily carry all your beach essentials, from towels and sunscreen to snacks and drinks, keeping them organized and protected from the sand and sun.

Beat the summer heat with something refreshingly different! Are you tired of the same old lemonade? Take your taste buds on a trip because this floral twist on a classic is sure to surprise and delight!

If you’re like me, you’ve probably already started updating your home decor for summer. If not, I’ve got a great post to share with you. My good buddy, Jennifer from Cottage on Bunker Hill is teaching us how to Transform Your Space in Under an Hour. Her post is perfect for those of you who have a busy schedule or are just looking for a quick refresh!

Happy forth of July. I am not into golf. We went to a party at a miniature golf course. I managed to hit the ball and break one of the lights on the course. It was sooo embarrassing😪.
