Mitten Moments – A Look Back At 2022

Well, it’s here! 2023! I hope your New Year is going spectacular, thus far! Today on my Mitten Moments, I’m sharing some of the usual moments that I always do, but I also wanted to share YOUR favorite moments of mine. Grab your favorite cup of and see my Mitten Moments – a look back at 2022!

My Personal Mitten Moments

For the last four years, as the new year begins, I create a vision board. Along with that process, I select my word for the year. If you aren’t sure what that is, you can see my post How To Make A Vision Board. It’s such a fun activity to do with family, too!

Waymaker was my 2022 word of the year and I will tell you, He made a way for so many blessings in my personal life and in my blogging career!

Our biggest joy this year, was the birth of our twin granddaugters! Twins!! We now have three grand-girls! Raising all boys was totally amazing, but Big Al and I are really enjoying all the sweet girls in our lives!

In July, I got the opportunity to meet up with some of my blogging friends, in Atlanta. Blogging has been such a blessing to my life and the people I have met have been a gift! There is so much encouragement and kindness in this community.

One thing I want to stress…you are never to old to learn something new!

Did you have time off for the holiday?

I did have some time off this week, but it wasn’t for fun. I had my third wrist surgery in the last 12 months. This time around I’m not in a cast, so that’s a major blessing. I’ve had a year full of months of physical therapy. With lots of prayers, I’m hopeful this was my last and 2023 with be surgery free!

Now that Christmas is over, taking down the tree and packing away all the Christmas decor comes next. This week, some friends and I got together and shared 12 Easy Ways to Organize & Decorate After Christmas.

From organizational items to sprucing up your winter decor, this post is sure to have something for everyone!

A Few Of Your Favorite Moments – 2022

I really enjoy blogging and sharing my posts with you! So, I thought it would be fun to share my top 5 posts. It’s always fun to see what you think was the best!

5.) How To Create A Simple Blue & Pink Easter Table

I’m more of a traditional girl, so pink, blue, green and yellow are all colors that remind me of Easter. I especially love pink and incorporate it into many of my table settings and Easter is no exception.

This past Easter, blue and pink was my tablesetting theme. Mixing stripes, toile and solids created a table that was cheerful with just the right bit of whimsy.

4.) My Coziest & Simple Fall Home Tour

Table settings are my most favorite decor to create. Playing around, mixing and matching different dishes, linens, and extra decor items is so relaxing to me.

This year, I used warm autumn colors, pumpkins, candles, and cozy blankets. Adding orange to my existing blue color pallette, worked beautifully!

3.) How To Decorate An Old Fashion Cottage Christmas

I decided this Christmas season I wasn’t going to follow a trend. Feeling a little sentimental as I was going through all of my Christmas bins, I wanted to bring back the feeling of Christmas’ past. Making that decision allowed me to use most of the stuff I’ve gathered over the years.

Wanting to be mindful of our somewhat crazy economy, I didn’t want to spend a lot and I wanted to use as much as I already had. From dried oranges, existing garland and ornaments, I already had, made the decorating process simple.

I’m glad I followed my heart because I’m so happy with how it all came together…I guess you liked it too!

2.) How To Make An Easy Bunny Wreath

Last Easter, I made the cutest bunny wreath for my mother’s apartment door!

If you are looking for an easy wreath to create for Easter, this is it! All you need is some yarn, ribbon, scrape material and a wreath. If you’re a crafter, I’m sure you have all the items needed laying around your house.

This Easter wreath was colorful and so much fun to make!

1.) How To Make A Decoupage Pumpkin With Napkins

Here it is! My reader’s number one post of the year!

Believe it or not, up until this project, I had never used decoupage. Well, maybe I did in grade school…

Anyway, this project was so relaxing and fun to do. I honestly wanted to decoupage everything when I was done!

It’s a craft that would be fun to do with the littles in your life, too!
