Happy Sunday, friends! It’s that time again where I share all my Mitten Moments from the past week. Grab your favorite snack and I’ll share all my springtime adventures and more!

It’s a rainy, dreary day here in the Mitten. However, yesterday was beautiful! Big Al and I worked out in the yard, in some of our floral beds, around the house. Things are really starting to bloom here. Just look at the beautiful blooms on my Dogwood tree!!

My Personal Mitten Moments

  • Big Al and I just took a long weekend and ventured to Key West. Have you ever been? It was sunny, warm and I had the best company. While we were there we went to Ernest Hemmingway’s home. Did you know he had six toed cats? They still have a breeding program and there were six toed cats everywhere! I think I’m going to write a blog post about his home. It was charming and full of stories!

  • Detroit hosted the 2024 NFL Draft, this weekend. The 2024 NFL Draft smashed attendance records, with over 775,000 fans packing the streets to celebrate the future of the league. We broke records for the amount of people in attendance! Go Detroit!

My Favorite Weekly Find

On my recent trip, these stretch ankle pants became my travel uniform! From navigating crowded airports to exploring the city, they kept me comfortable every step of the way. The fabric is so unbelievably stretchy and let’s be honest, I love stretchy pants! I never felt restricted, even after hours on a plane. They were so perfect, I even got complimented on them! Someone in the airport gift shop stopped me, curious about the brand – a true testament to both style and comfort! The best part, they come in multiple colors and are priced right!

Hope you had a nice time away!

  3. Good morning Kim,
It sounds as if you had a wonderful time in Key West. I’ve never been but my husband was in Key West and he visited the Hemingway house and bought me copies of all of Hemingways books. I loved them all.
I think I need a pair or two of those pants.
I am off to check out all of these links, especially the butterfly garden.
