Happy Sunday, friends! It’s time for another week of my Mitten Moments. If you are new to my blog, Mitten Moments are those bits of inspiration I’ve shared and gathered throughout my week. This week, I’ll be warming you all up with some amazing inspiration! So, grab your favorite blanket, brew your favorite beverage, and prepare to be swept away by the magic of Mitten Moments!
A large part of the country is still feeling the effects of freezing temperatures and snow. My gutters are weeping waterfalls of ice! I’ve never seen anything like it. My youngest and middle sons both lost their heat for a short time and our laundry room pipes froze…it’s that cold! Everything is working now and sadly, I’m back to doing laundry!
It’s only 58 days until spring. Until then, let’s embrace the beauty of winter weather or at least try. I think I can, I think I can…

My Personal Mitten Moments
- Big Al and I started watching The Sopranos. Yes, yes, we are a little late to the party, but better late than never. Right? We finished all thirteen episodes of the first season, and wanted spaghetti ever single time we watched. So, we made spaghetti and meatballs yesterday. Our craving has been satisfied!
- Have you seen the new The Spring Lookbook from Pottery Barn? It’s all about blue and yellow. Needless to say, I’m here for it! I recently bought some new artwork that will fit right in and I can’t wait to share it with you!
- It’s game day for our Detroit Lions! You can not imagine how jazzed up this city and state are right now! The Detroit Lions haven’t made the playoffs since January 1992…that’s thirty-two years! Today, we are believing that the Lions will defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! My sweet niece (not by blood but by a lifelong friend) is a Detroit Lions’ cheerleader. I’ll be looking for and cheering her on too! Go Lions!!๐

โWe’re still on the hunt, and I said this back in training camp, but if you’re hunting us, you don’t have to look far. We’re going to be on your front porch when you open the door.” Dan Campbell – Coach of the Detroit Lions
Recently On The Blog
I share books that I’ve already read and some that are on my list to read, several times throughout the year. Last week, I shared The Big Book Blizzard: 7 Books to Melt the Winter Chill. Nothing like a good book on a cold winter’s day! If you’ve read any on my list, I’d love to hear how you like it.
Sweet treats are a mainstay in our house. I’m not afraid to admit it either! Speaking of,ย have you seen my latest postย on The Easiest & Sweet Valentine’s Day Treat? If not, you must check them out. Even if you’re a culinary novice,ย you can impress your loved ones (or yourself!). They’re so simple,ย you’ll be saying “Be mine!” to every batch.
