Do you like to read? The bigger question….do you have time to read? I love to read. The kind of reading where you hold the physical book in your hand. Call me old fashion, but I actually love holding a book. Today, I am sharing Mother’s Day Gifts – Books for the Reader.
Last year on my vision board, I promised myself I would read one book a month. I know what some of you reading machines are thinking. One book a month? I’m sure some of you read one book a week!

For this busy girl, one a month is an accomplishment!
For Mother’s Day, I thought it would be fun to put together a list of books, for the mothers in your life, who love to read. There are plenty of amazing books out there.
Fiction, non-fiction and the beautiful coffee table books.
Don’t you just love a book with pretty pages? I could spend hours just looking at them.
Books For The Reader
1) Make Something Good Today – By Erin & Ben Napier
This is a wonderful book about this amazingly talented couple. They have a show on HGTV called Home Town. If you haven’t seen it, you should! They are down to earth, talented and funny. This was my number one read last year.
2) Where the Crawdads Sing – By Delia Owens
Although this book has been out for a couple of years, I just recently picked it up! I think I read this book faster than any book I have ever read. A great story of reclusive young girl who has been abandoned in the North Carolina marsh and her life.
Reese Witherspoon is currently making a movie out of it, so you know it has to be good!
3) Frontier Follies – By Ree Drummond aka The Pioneer Woman
Who doesn’t love Ree Drummond?
This book is a celebration of family, life, love, with some laughter thrown in. This was given to me as a Christmas gift and I loved it.
4) 28 Summers – By Elin Hilderbrand
Headed to the beach this summer? This is the perfect beach read. It’s a love story based on the movie Same Time Next Year.
I just finished this one on my recent weekend trip.
5) Floret Farm’s Cut Flower Garden: Grow, Harvest, and Arrange Stunning Seasonal Blooms – By Erin Benzakein with Julie Chai
Talk about a book with pretty pages! This book does not disappoint! If your mom loves flowers and has or wants to plant a cut flower garden, this is definitely for her.
6) You’ve Got This (Because God’s Got You) – By KariAnne Wood
This is a perfect devotional to lift and encourage the mom in your life.
Who doesn’t need that in their life?
7) Do you or the mother in your life like to journal? How about adding a journal to her Mother’s Day gift?
I picked out this 8-Pack of Lined Travelers Notebooks. I thought it would be fun to give one to each of my girlfriends, adding a pen and tying a pretty bow around it.
Book Accessories
Now that you have some book ideas for mom, how about a book light? I love to read before I go to sleep. This book light is the best one I’ve had, yet. The best thing about it? It’s rechargeable.
One last thing….don’t forget the bookmark!
I hope I have given you some ideas for the mother who loves to read. I hope your Mother’s Day is spent making lots of new memories and remembering those of years past!
