Can You Mix And Match Blues?

Before I show you all the beautiful fall items I found, I wanted to address a question I have been asked several times over the last few months. Some of you have asked when decorating with blue, can you mix different shades of blue? The answer for me is yes!

The blues don’t have to be matchy-matchy, they just need to flow. I have to admit, mixing and matching blues, into my decor, has been a fun process.

A few helpful tips

  • Light and Dark Blues: Combine lighter shades like baby blue or powder blue with darker hues like navy or teal. This creates a balanced and sophisticated look.
  • Warm and Cool Blues: Mix warm blues like turquoise or teal with cool blues like cobalt or indigo. This adds a touch of contrast and can make your space feel more dynamic.
  • Similar Shades: For a more cohesive look, try mixing similar shades of blue, such as different tones of navy or teal. This can create a calming and serene atmosphere.
