Do you have carpet, hardwood, or maybe you have both, in your home? I have both, but there is plenty of hardwood at the cottage. Therefore, I love to use large rugs in my living and dining room areas. I’m always on the hunt for a pretty rug and a good deal. So, I’m going to show you the best AND my favorite beautiful rugs I have found, this season.
Have you noticed the gorgeous selection of rugs out on the market, right now? So many pretty ones! I promise there will be something for everyone’s taste.

It appears, from everything I’ve seen and read, that warm cozy neutrals, deep invigorating colors and rich pastels are on trend for 2023. Did someone say deep invigorating colors and rich pastels? I do like a good neutral, but being a girl who loves color, I’m here for it!
Everyone and every site I’ve been on, seems to currently be having rug sales and that means it’s a great time to pick-up a new one! Below, you will find a current list of my favorites.
Warm Cozy Neutrals
Neutral rugs are usually shades of gray, taupe, white, and cream. They are often made from cotton, jute, wool or sisal. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a good neutral somewhere in their home decor!

Shades of Pastels
Did you know that pastel colors are actually pale tones of colors made by mixing white into the orginial shade? I’m no art major but it makes sense, right? Pastels have recently made a comeback. I even designed my She Room in pastel pink. You can see all the details in my post How To Create A She Shed In A Room. I plan on adding a little wallpaper to the she room, within the next few months. I’ll make sure to share it with you when it’s done!

Deep Rich Colors
Color is making a comeback and I’m super excited to see it trending in home decor. Bedding, paint colors and rugs are just a few of the items perfect of that pop of color in your home. Blues, reds and oranges are on trend and the rugs below are some of my favorites!

Blue & White
Let’s hear it for blue and white! If you know me, you know I am currently loving blue and white. So, I had to have a category just for the blue and white beauties! You can check out My New Blue Spring Home Tour from last year, if you are looking for some blue and white inspiration!
The last rug I listed here can be used indoor or outdoor. It’s in the running for my patio this year!
What do you think? Should I go blue or neutral?

The Best & Beautiful Rugs This Season
Rugs can add an element of cozy to any space. If it’s a change you’re looking for, adding a rug to your new or existing home decor can really brighten up the space and make a big difference. Also, providing that the colors work, just moving your rugs from room to room will instantly change your space.
Remember, it’s so important to use what you love. If you love the 2023 design trends, that’s awesome and if you don’t and choose a different path that’s awesome, too!
I hope I’ve given you a little inspiration to switch up your rugs. Especially because there are currently so many great buys!
Happy rug shopping!

As I put Christmas decorations away, noticed parts of house I don’t spend much time in except to vacuum/clean. After so many years, some things just need to be refreshed. Love the rugs and pillows. Good inspiration.
You are so right! Some rooms we never seem to spend time in! Thanks for the love! xo
Kim, I love this post with all of the beautiful rug selection. Bold color and pastels are on trend. Love pops of color in a room. I am not a pastel person unless it’s a subtle tone down from an aqua. My craft room, I want to go bold or go home this year. LOL
Thanks friend! I’m loving the bold colors this year! Can’t wait to use some in my home! I’m looking forward to seeing what you do in your craft room!! xo
Loving the rugs you chose! I’m looking at a few for our home.
Always love getting a new rug!
So many gorgeous rugs!! I am saying out loud “I do not need a new rug…I do not need a new rug…”
Lol…you just bought a new beautiful rug!
What fabulous rug choices Kim. Of course I love the blue and white the most, but they are all so lovely.
I’m so glad you like them, Wendy! I love blue and white, too!
Omgoodness, you found some gorgeous rugs Kim! I have a couple of rooms that need rugs!
Thanks, Cindy! There are so many pretty ones out there, right now!
