Cottage in the Mitten

Forget the long lines and overpriced cafes, because you can whip up a cocoa wonderland right in your own home. This DIY bar is perfect for movie nights, holiday parties, or simply cozying up by the fireplace.

Gather Your Cocoa Essentials

Hot cocoa,  Christmas mugs, mason jars,  marshmallows, sprinkles, chocolate spoons, caramel or chocolate toppings, whipped cream, festive home decor & napkins.

Choose Your Cocoa

You can try a store-bought mix or make your own from scratch using cocoa powder, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.

If you have a Keurig machine you can even buy hot cocoa pods. Doesn’t get much easier than that!

Set-Up Your Cocoa Bar

Adding different levels when you have a smaller space to work with is helpful. I used a cake plate to elevate my items.

Add an electric teapot. All you have to do is add water when family or friends arrive.

Throw on a festive tablecloth or runner. Add some holiday decorations like candles, small tree napkins and a sign.

Add Festive Touches

All you have left to do is serve and enjoy!!
