Transform ordinary wooden ornaments into charming vintage treasures with these easy-to-follow instructions. This delightful DIY project allows you to personalize your holiday décor with a touch of nostalgic elegance.
– Wooden ornaments – Vintage magazine pages/free art – Scissors – Pencil – Small brush – Modge Podge – Twine or ribbon – Exacto knife
Collect vintage magazines, scrapbooks, or other sources to discover images to use.
Using a pencil, carefully trace the outlines of the images to the size of your ornaments.
Apply a thin layer of Modge Podge to the back of the cut-out images using a small brush. Avoid using too much Modge Podge, as it can cause the paper to wrinkle.
Once the Modge Podge has dried, apply a thin layer of Modge Podge to the top of the images and ornaments. This will seal the images and add a protective sheen.
Thread the twine or ribbon through the pre-drilled holes on the ornaments, creating loops for hanging. You can also add a thin coat of gold metallic paint for a shimmer.
Hang them gracefully on your Christmas tree, or adorn them on gift packages.
