Flower Power Sugar Cookies

This easy sugar cookie recipe starts with Betty Crocker cookie mix and becomes the sweetest flower-shaped treats. All you need is a cookie cutter and sprinkles! Perfect for baking with grandkids, this fun and simple recipe creates colorful cookies and wonderful memories!

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Cutting Mat
  • 1 Mixing Utensil I used a large spoon
  • 1 1.5 inch Cookie Cutter

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Package
  • 1 Stick Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • Sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (or as directed on your cookie mix package).
  • Mix cookie dough according to the instructions on the Betty Crocker sugar cookie package.
  • Roll dough into small balls and flatten each one to about ¼ inch thick.
  • Cut out cookies with a flower shaped cookie cutter.
  • Use a smaller flower shaped cookie cutter and add sprinkles in the center of the cookie.
  • Remove excess dough from around the cookie cutters.
  • Bake for 9 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool completely before eating. Enjoy!

Notes

You can also divide the dough and add a few drops of food coloring to create different shades for a fun, colorful batch of cookies.
