Decoupage pumpkins are a fun and easy way to add a pretty touch of fall to your home decor, this season. I'll show you how to make your own decoupage pumpkin using napkins.
You'll need a pumpkin, napkins of your choice, Mod Podge, a brush, and scissors.
When using two-ply cocktail napkins you'll want to separate and discard the piece on the back. That means you are left with just the printed side of the napkin.
Once you have the napkins separated, gently tear the napkins into strips. You'll need small pieces for filler, too.
Grab yourself a paper plate and pour some Mod Podge out onto the plate. It makes it easier to use when it’s not in the container.
Apply the Mod Podge to one section of the pumpkin and apply your first strip. Start at the top and work your way down, overlapping the strips slightly.
Continue adding the Mod Podge and napkin pieces until you get half way around the pumpkin. let the first half dry for about 20 mins and repeat the process until finished. Let dry thoroughly.
Your decoupage pumpkin is now complete! You can display it on your porch, mantel, or coffee table to add a touch of fall to your home decor.
