This Thanksgiving, I’m embracing a more neutral color palette with a touch of autumn hues for my Thanksgiving tablescape. By mixing and matching neutral plates, napkins, and stemware in shades of gold, cream, and beige, I’ve created a clean and classic foundation. To add a touch of warmth, I’ve incorporated muted tones of blue and green into my table. I foraged for natural elements to create a stunning and affordable centerpiece. I also added a personal touch with my simple to make DIY pinecone napkin rings. These were a big hit when I used them last Christmas, but they are ideal for Thanksgiving too.

Once I chose my neutral color scheme I picked out my table linens. I opted for a cream table runner. Rarely do I use a tablecloth. They can be beautiful and create an elegant table, however, I just like the look of table runners. I rounded out the linens with some tan and cream striped cloth napkins.
Woven placemats add a touch of rustic charm to this table setting and provide a beautiful and functional base for the dinnerware. The natural texture of the woven placemats complements the neutral color palette and adds a layer of warmth to my table.
The Importance of a Well-Planned Centerpiece
The centerpiece of any table is the focal point and will set the overall tone for your table. The centerpiece ties your tablescape together, ensuring all the plates, napkins, and decor complement each other.
For a truly personal touch, I created this foraged centerpiece. It’s important to remember, that no matter what season, there are always plenty of forgeable options. Definitely a budget-friendly option too!
I purchased a new vintage looking pie tin and I was determined to use it as my Thanksgiving centerpiece base, along with some dried hydrangeas. I have hydrangeas, however, I was looking for a bigger variety. My neighbor has a plethora of limelight hydrangeas perfect for what I envisioned, so I reached out to her and asked if I could cut some. She was so gracious to let me have as many as I needed.

Experiment with layering different plates and bowls to add depth and dimension to your table setting.
I picked a vintage-style glass that reminds me of Depression-era glass. They make the table feel a little dressy without being too fancy!
