Happy Sunday friends! The weather in Michigan this weekend has been absolutely beautiful! Temps in the 60’s, golden sunshine with bright blue skies which makes you want to be outdoors every second. We’re taking full advantage today and heading down to tailgate for the Lions game! There’s nothing quite like the energy of game day in Detroit during this time of year. Grab a warm cup of tea (or coffee!), settle in, and join me at the Cottage for a little bit of fall inspiration before we head out!
Mitten Moments is my weekly Sunday post where I share a little slice of life from the Cottage, what’s been going on around here, some of my favorite finds, and posts from my blogging friends that I just know you’re going to love. I’m so glad you’re here!

My Personal Moments
- Have you heard of the term “burping your house“? I’ve seen people post about it on social and also recently heard the termed used on the news. What does it mean you ask? It means to open your windows daily to let the stale air out and let the fresh air in. Apparently, it was a popular trend during Covid. Who knew?
- It was a slow week, as I’ve been working behind the scenes getting some things ready for an upcoming craft and working on a new Gathering Grace. If you missed my post, 10 Cozy Fall Dessert Recipes & Sweet Treats for Autumn, make sure you check it out. It’s full of easy fall recipes you’ll love!
- Have you ever dried oranges? I just dried a big batch for a project I’m working on. They’re easy to dry, but they do take a little bit of time, so you’ll need some patience. If you’ve never tried it before and want to give it a go, you can read all about it HERE.
