Dill Dip – Simple Ingredients

Easy Steps to Make Creamy Homemade Dill Dip
Start by washing and drying your dill. I use a paper towel to pat mine dry. Finely chop the fresh dill and set aside.
In a bowl, mix the sour cream, mayo, and remaining ingredients, then stir in the dill until the dip is creamy and full of flavor. I use full-fat sour cream and mayo because it provide the best consistency for holding onto those fresh herbs, but a light version works just as well for a lower calorie swap!

Once well mixed, transfer the dip to a bowl with a lid and refrigerate for at least an hour. Letting it chill gives all those fresh, yummy flavors time to come together beautifully, making it even more delicious summer dip recipe!
🌿 Tips for Using Fresh Dill
Fresh dill is one of the easiest herbs to grow and such a flavorful addition to homemade dips, dressings, and more. To get the best flavor, harvest dill just before it flowers. Use clean kitchen shears to snip the feathery fronds close to the stem, and give them a gentle rinse before chopping.
For the best results in dips like this one, use freshly chopped dill rather than dried. It gives the dip a more vibrant flavor. If you have extra dill, you can freeze the chopped dill in olive oil using an ice cube tray or hang a few sprigs to dry for later use.

Serving Ideas for Dill Dip
This creamy dill dip is perfect for just about any summer spread. Charcuterie boards are a staple in my home and this dip is perfect for a summer spread. Serve it with a colorful tray of fresh-cut veggies like carrots, cucumbers, radishes, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes. It also pairs wonderfully with crackers, pretzels, pita chips, or even warm slices of toasted baguette. For a charming cottage-style touch, spoon the dip into a pretty bowl or vintage dish and place it on your favorite wooden board with herbs and fruit tucked around the edges.
